Wisdom I Wish I Had As A Young Engineer

People will tell you to be authentic.

Don’t listen to them. Being authentic is a terrible choice.

People will criticize you for being a ‘sell out’. Being a sell-out is ok.

If you don’t know how to do something, get a book on it. I know reading is old-fashioned, but get one now while you still can and AI hasn’t eaten all of our pages yet. I think it ran out of internet this year…get a book and treasure it.

Learn to program. It doesn’t matter what or how. Just learn a language and make friends with the computer. It will pay off a thousand different ways.

Take fluid mechanics and actually remember it.
